Tabbed browsing....

Meh. Doesn't seem to bring much new to the table you couldn't already get w/Opera or FF. It's hard to believe how long MS stuck w/IE6 when there are so many other feature rich browsers out there.
looks like a fake to me. this could just well be a ff skin

No effing kidding. I use FF exclusively now (except when I have to update Windows) and I don't know if I'll ever go back.

I'll switch off FF in an instant if they get IE back into shape. It just doesn't render pages as fast or as smooth as IE does.

I agree.
I never had spyware anyway besides tracking cookies. The main reason i switched to Firefox was because of the cool features. Its a lot slower and is incompatible with a lot of pages I visit.
Once IE has the cool features, I'll switch back.

this looks fake to me - I've played with IE7 in the longhorn BETa's - most recenly the 5048 WinHEC build and IE7 looks nothing like that (fortunatly)
IE7 is uber cool.

Tabbed browsing....
This may be a really stupid question, but what is "tabbed browsing"?

That is exactly what MS wants, they want people to be locked into ie, and their products. It will make DRM that much easier for them, they will force people to upgrade, and soon their will be no choice at all.
As far as slow html, and slow loading of sites most of those sites are not W3C compliant anyway. That is because MS does not use html standards. I try not to give any non w3c site my business. If the site does not load correctly under other browsers then they don't need my business. If you have a site that is not rendering right run it through this url.

As a test I ran this site through, and it comes up with a bunch of errors, if someone is paid to admin a site then I would fire their butts. Since FF works fine I can tolerate some errors, but it still reflects poorly on the site itself. Since most sites like this, are not money making then I can tolerate it as long as most things work.

But isn't refusing to use IE exactly what conspiracy theorists want? They want people to be locked into believing whatever the latest conspiracy theory says. It will make conspiracy theories that much easier for them to spread, they will force people to believe them and soon there will be no choice at all. :p
By the way I am glad you could merely tolerate this site long enough to post what you did ;)

Sticklers for W3C compliancy always make me wonder why they're really so hell bent on it to begin with. You must have an enormous list of sites/companies that you boycott based on this principle. For example, the following sites all fail the W3C validator...
Looks like there are some bigger fish for you to hypothetically fire than the admin here (or sites to "tolerate")...not to mention many of our peers. Good grief.
UPDATE: I keep updating this list, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. :rofl
