Personally i was going to wait for dc the same 4800 but really if you're a multi tasker and would like to run Divx while gaming then cool the dc will rock. me personally i don't do that type of stuff so I'm going to upgrade to the fx 55 . mainly I wanted to upgrade to 939 pin so i went all the way. The fx 55 holds it's own against dc in games even beats it out in some teats check out www.extremetech.com they have a good comparison. The fx 55 should last awhile!

By the time games come out the benefit from and utilize mutithreading...the dual core CPU you by today will be nothing but a two pound weakling....I'd go with the FX...even AMD's charts list the FXs as the "Gamers" CPU

If u can afford gor for it. I would but thats teh type of guy I am...I do not htink even with toledos, venices or whatever, AMD can or will crank the speed up as Intel can or could with their CPUs. So man it's yer call as a dual core 4800+ will not be a weakling (ie more multithreadeed goodness to come I should imagine) next year no doubt certainly the FX53 i bought from Pain is not a weakling after a year of launch ;)

seems like u made your mind up already Alaa :), go for it, the 4800+x2 will be great all round CPU, playing games at high res and/or aa/af your not going to see much of a difference with the fx55---- lucky to be 1-4 fps on average. u wont be dissapointed with either cpu.

i just saw anandtech review on 4800+ n i think fx55 is weak under heavy load i dont like anything to disturb me while playing cuz sometimes some scans runs in the background while am playing
