Ok, heres what I got:
Mandrake 10.1 PowerPack
p2p-1.3.3-1
cedega-4.3.1
nVidia 6629 drivers
FX5900XT


Ok, HL2 and Source games run great, BUT when I exit the game, all I get is a black screen and a big fat mouse pointer.
It isnt locked up, cause I can alt+F2 type konsole, su to root init3 then init 5, thought that would work, but I have to reboot to get hardware acceleration working again.

Any ideas what I might do to get the games to exit properly, or to get whatever still has a hold of the video to let go?????????

Is there something with "NVRM: Xid" after your screen goes black in your dmesg output?
(check it in the "konsole")

Ok, run the game, exit it, then run the dmesg?????

This is depressing, I hate to reboot after running HL2 all the time........heh

It's working now........

I didnt realise I had to patch the driver, but all is good now.....
Boosted framerates a bit too......:D:D:D
