According to a user on another forum, this driver is actually an older driver than the beta.

Aren't these the drivers I posted awhile back that fixed the sound falling out in Doom3 with surround enabled?

Maybe - Although with a release date of 12/05/05 i doubt it.

your right, both the version number and the file date for SOME files is older than the beta.

HOWEVER if you try to install the beta over the top of this driver it tells you that most of the source file's ie the beta files are older than the destination files ie this new driver release............?

what im saying is some files are newer whilst some are older.

hope this makes sence.

it's a new driver that combines all of the fixes up and until the dec. 2004 driver release (1.84.55, which is the dec. 2004 release). In other words, creative is realizing to do what the video card companies are doing. Make a driver that has all of the current fixes along with the old ones. Rather than install 3 or 4 seperate dated drivers to be current.
