Ok, am I the only person that thinks there should be a sub-forum for consoles? Im a PC gamer, thats why Im here, but with all these new consoles (and games) coming out, this forum is going to be PACKED with console threads.

Anyone else agree?

No I don't agree, Because its called "Gaming Central" NOT "PC Gaming Central". If you don't like the console related posts, don't read them.

As a PC and Console gamer it sure makes it alot easier for me to scimm the posts I find interesting, a sub-forum for another platform would just make it a hassle and divide the community further.

I remember a quote where Mark Rein said "We don't put too much into demo's" hinting that we're going to see this stuff in a game. Holy crap though, we're on the verge of getting to play this stuff finally. If Epic goes xbox exclusive/partnered or whatever Sony's going to have to sit it out unless they get some killer stuff going NOW to debut on PS3.

Many games have already been announced to be in development for the PS3 that use UE3.

I'm with you, I think consoles should have a seperate sub-forum. This is nvnews, not consolesnews. :D

Nvidia chipsets are found in both the Xbox and the PS3, though.

Wow, those screens look real good, especially for a console.

No, there shouldn't be a sub-column for console gaming. It is named "Gaming Central" for all types of gaming.

You have to remember though, this console makes any of our computers look like nothin in terms of hardware. Especially when you think about how the developers can specifically optimize for it. Halo 2 on xbox 1, I can't even come to imagine what they're going to be able to pull of with this beast.

I like Edge's point, this is nvnews, and it's nVidia related to talk about xbox and ps3.

The only reason I mentioned anything this because the Source engine has its own forum and the Doom 3 engine has its own forum, and now MMORPGs have their own forum... a console forum covers a lot more than a single game engine or genre, it seems like common sense that they would have their own.

The D3 and Source forums arent that active now that HL2 and D3 have pretty much come and gone. The console wars are beginning again and this forum is going to be packed with console threads. Might as well give consoles their own section now before you have 700 threads to move.

Gaming central covers all gaming, Yes. But there are sub forums under it. Using your logic there would be a Source Gaming Central, Doom 3 Engine Gaming Central and MMORPG Gaming Central categories.... and there arent. Im simply suggesting that they add a new sub category to keep things tidy.

I agree with CaptNKILL, unfortunately in this case since Gears of War is coming for PC and Xbox 360 it's in the right place. But I think breaking the forums up is a good, nay great idea.

Trailer looks pretty good

Gears of War isn't coming out for PC, unfortunately. Hell most of UE3 based games will be console only.

Epic wanted to be the M$ of game engines...they've done it.

GOW is for PC and next-gen consoles and UE3 based games are being made for PC and next-gen consoles.

EDIT: Let's QFT.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/612/612066p1.html

This third-person shooter will be available on the Xbox 360 and the PC. We were told by Peter Moore that Gears of War is currently running at 80% of the visual bar that Epic believes it can achieve on 360. It will also include online play, and should be available after the holiday season.
