Don't have floods of pics today, since I spent most of it trying to find Tim Sweeney. I still cannot get a hold of him. I left my number, I've talked to about 10 different people. Its extremely frustrating, and I think ebgtmagus is sick of me trying to find Tim Sweeney every second of the time I was there :) Well... one more day left to try. *Crosses fingers*
We saw the Alan Wake demo (check my other thread) as well as the UT2007 demo. This demo featured actual in game play of UT2007. (no cameras allowed :() Most of you will be happy to hear, that the game speed is not drasctically reduced. In fact, its a tiny slower than UT2004. The graphics are VERY nice, but it chugs slightly on a single 6800 Ultra.
We also saw a presentation of the Unreal3 engine, and I asked a few questions afterwards. I asked about Displacement Mapping and HDR. (DM will be used on terrain, and HDR is built in) He also said they incorperated pupil dilation, but it may not be used.
We also saw Timeshift (we have a video of that) IMO its very impressive. The ability the reverse, freeze, etc. time is amazing, the the benefits for doing so were really cool. I am definetely looking forward to this one.
Hitman: Blood Money (which I also have ingame video of) was also very impressive, with the improved graphics and AI.

Here is a picture of me and Ed Boon. I asked him what was next for the MK series, he told me they will be working with next gen engines :D

We headed on over to the Fatal1ty/Abit booth, and a few gems were found here. First is their very late, very red, nForce4 SLI board.

And a Fatal1ty Computer Case:

And a Zalman Fan, Abit seems to be pairing up with Zalman to release a lot of Fatil1ty cases, powersupplies and fans.

Gothic 3 was completely playable this year. I must say though, they really should have not shown it this early. There is NO A.I., you clip through objects, the game runs horrible, and 1 out of the 3 demos was frozen. I believe we have some video of it. Its only a pre-alpha, but it still has some work to be done. It does have good terrain graphics however.

Ebgtmagus spent a great deal talking to the head of Vanguard. The Vanguard head(can't remember his name) He worked on the original EQ1, but left the team to work for Vanguard. He expressed that he was a tad displaced with the direction that EQ2 took, the game is set to be released mid next year. It needs a little work though. But looks awesome none the less.
