I stole this from Rage3D's R520 board (credit to Windycityguy)

this is a better video than the other one that was split into three parts.

http://www.xboxyde.com/leech_1443_en.html

from what I understand:

- the demo was originally coded up for the R520 'Fudo' GPU
- was ported over quickly, unoptimized, to the Xbox 360's 'Xenos' GPU
- seems to be running at 30 frames per second with some dips

please correct if info is wrong

ET: The demos that we've seen so far—the stuff on MTV, and that was running at the press conference last night and will be at the show—is that running on the actual final hardware? The three-core CPU and the final GPU, running at final clock speed?

TH: No that's all running on Alpha Dev Kits.

ET: You could say that within the next couple of months, all the developers should have their hands on the final hardware and can begin running their games like it will run on the final Xbox 360, and optimizing for the architecture?

TH: Yeah, that's a reasonable timeframe.

It could be possible, but unlikely.

THis is how magic is done!

ATI was fortunate enough to have a working Xbox 360 sample at their booth:

There was no controller hooked up to the sample, and ATI stationed one employee next to the box at all times to avoid anyone making off with it. The console itself was behind a glass box.

The machine was running ATI's R520 Ruby demo, which took about a week to port to the 360 from the original PC version. The hardware in this particular box wasn't running at full speed, but ATI mentioned that they could if need be.

ATI has had Xbox 360 GPU silicon back since last November, so we tend to believe them.

With the first half of today spent searching for Xbox 360, now we turn to the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center...

unlike the games running on Xenon Alpha devkits which have dual PowerPC processors and older ATI graphics cards, the Ruby demo was running on the real XBox 360 GPU, Xenos. although not optimized to take advantage of its power and features, as the demo was just ported over from the R520 Fudo version.

With one website reporting this, e3 over, no one else mentions it. Microsoft states they have no working xboxes, they cant supply the developers with xbox's.

Microsoft makes it a point at E3 and on MTV to give the impression that they have working hardware, and well alot of people fell for it.

Why go thought he trouble to take mockups, and spiffy cabinets with lcd's on them showing the xbox360 while hideing the pc hardware if they had working units.

Proof that it was real time, sure. Real time on what? Probly it was PC (not mac) with r520, no ports, to magical xenon power going on.

So you have one site that is a loan ranger on a claim that cannot be confirmed by anyone, not even ATi/Microsoft.

Microsoft states in an interview that developers dont have any hardware, but they hope in two months they may get one out. A mock up Perfect Dark tournament, witch later gets out was on *shock* apples. Mock playable and non playable demos playing on working xbox360 hardware, OUPS my bad, they were on apples again. Yes, you have GREAT proof that though micosoft cant produce a single working sample anyware, but then a MIRACLE comes along one working unit.

Nevermind, that all the units they had AT e3 wernt even final desgins, the caseings they were showing at e3 were just that, caseings, they did not even have all of the output ports put in. THe hard drive 'attachment' is nothing more than a plastic bubble, and as microsoft says "being desinged"

Again, proof? We have proof that microsoft has no working units, but decided that for marketing purposes, they have to show the world what their product COULD do, if it exsisted. They want to pretend everything is going well, however a thanksgiving launch is sneeking up fast, and all they have is alpha hardware based on Apples.

Sad that you guys want to belive it so much.

ATi hardcores need some good news or at least some form of R520 future snippets since it's been delayed (according to INQ :) ).
