Nice! The 1st movie is impressive.
But whats the difference between relief mapping and displacement mapping?
I just skimmed it but I think the white paper might explain the differences.

Wow that looks nice, but why isn't this in the Doom 3 Forum?
Gotta wonder why Carmack didn't implement all these things himself?
