View Full Version : Crossfire - ATi's version of Multi Card Rendering!
Could it be possible that 9563 is the highest single card bench???(9063 is second now)
And also, could it be possible that they aren't yet able to submit it due to unapproved as-of-yet drivers, among other things?
I'm not saying its not fake..as I assume it is...but that score certaintly isn't unreasonable. 15000+ is probably pretty easy for this. And its also inline with what ati is saying about their crossfire performance in 3dmark05.
hmm, we'll have to see for ourselves I guess.
For 2 highly overclocked X850XT-PE's working in CF .. yeah its possible since a single X850XT-PE can get a score of 6000+ , dual should break the 10K at least & i've seen a website reporting that already .. the rest of the extra points is coming from the overclocked core/mem (850/1404).

Here (http://hardinfo.dk/show.asp?desc=3582) the SLi and Crossfire first benchmarks with Doom 3 and 3DMark 2005, Crossfire is just as fast as SLi on Catalyst 5.4 WHQL driver, where did ATI get 30% faster nonsense from? Here seem something very wrong with Mecci's 850/1404 highly clocked X850 XT PE's 9063 3DMark 2005 score got owned by default clocked X850 XT PE's 9555 3DMark 2005 score.

With all respect to the benchmarkers above .. WHY THE HELL didnt they bench Doom3 @1600x1200 ?? its SLI vs CF for gods sake.
maybe thier monitor dosent support it ? possible , but still a shame for a "world exclusive" benchmark.

I think the LCD they used to benchmarked doesnt supported 1600x1200, look like they used a DELL brand LCD monitor.

Yeah it seems they mentioned that point :
Den anvendte TFT-skærm understøttede desuden desværre ikke 1600x1200, hvorfor disse resultater ikke er med
BUT as i said above .. still a shame for an exclusive benchmark & esp when seeing the 6800U SLI regaining lead @1280x1024,4x8x.
afterall 1600x1200 is what matters most when it comes to dual video cards.

Uh Oh I am getting confused, it not Dell monitor and Athlon FX 53 HARDINFO said, TweakTown (http://www.tweaktown.com/document.php?dType=article&dId=773) said they used Samsung SyncMaster 710T LCD monitor and Athlon 64 X2 4800+ for the benchmarks! I go with TweakTown as I think HARDINFO got it all wrong with the spec because they speak Dutch language.
Of course Samsung SyncMaster 710T supported maximum resolution of 1280x1024, that explain why it doesnt supported 1600x1200 in benchmarks.
It interesting TweakTown said it is possible for Geforce 6 SLi cards running on ATI X200 based motherboards. Maybe ATI crossfire cards will work on Nvidia SLi based motherboards. :)
