I'm wondering what motherboards (specific brands and models) available right now have the option in the BIOS to lock the PCI and AGP bus within their respective frequencies. If we could limit this to KT400 and nForce2 boards, I'd appreciate it very much. :)

As far as I know most, if not all, of the nforce mobos that have overclocking options have independent agp/pci bus.

A haven't heard of any VIA motherboard with PCI/AGP lock.

Wrong...only the Asus and Chaintech support both AGP *AND* PCI locking capabilities...rest of the manufacturers were jerking off when they were building their crappy motherboards.

I have the MSI-KT4ULtra -SR......and that has no dividers of any to speak off....so that should be off your list.....I hope in the future through a bios release this gets implented....but I dunno...

Now how about Pentium 4 boards? I'm probably not going to go the Intel route, but I'd still like to know what my options are in this area.

I know that there are some Asus mb's that can PCI/APG lock like the P4T533 (http://www.hothardware.com/hh_files/Motherboards/asus_p4t533(2).shtml) but Im not sure if you can get AMD ones.

I was hoping mines would have one, but I was disappointed yet again. All this mobo has is a huge ammount of mem dividers.

i know specifically that the Asus NForce2 board supports it. And since it's a decent price and the Asus name I'd go with that. I know nothing about Chaintech brand motherboards, only video cards.

Do any EpoX boards support this feature?

From what I understand, the Asus Nforce2 (I think all the rest of the Nforce2 board too) have the AGP adjustable in the BIOS to whatever you want and the PCI is not adjustable but locked at 33 no matter what.
