View Full Version : 2 Psu's, which is better?
I'm certaintly filling the hardware threads with questions today. Ok, here it is, I bought this new system, I had one built for me. I can build them, built my last one, etc. But the price he gave me was awesome for what I got, so I went ahead and did it. My only complaint is the PSU. He put in a 550W but it seems like a generic one to me. The companies name is Elements and it's a " Z Power Gaming series" psu. AMD recommended and Intel compliant. It seems nice, has a blue led and fan control. But I've never heard of this PSU. So I took this 550w out and put my 430 watt true antec in, from my old system. Before I settle with this, I just wanted to know if anyone has heard or used this Elements company before? If it's a decent psu i'll put it back in. Just didn't want a generic psu that will last 2 months powering my system.

I've never heard of them (Elements). The Antec is a reasonably good supply though, so it's hard to go wrong with it.

Yeah I've never heard of elements either. I'd stick with the Antec.
I just installed an Antec True Control 550 into my PC and it has never worked better. Running Prime 95 all night (7 hrs) with very agressive OC setting and not one error. Antec True series of power supplies are top notch....

Antec makes a good PSU but they are not as good as once beleived. I use one myself but I don't think i'd buy another one. Alot of boards don't like Antec PSU's. There are much better ones out there now. Sorry for the slight derail, i've never heard of elements either, i'd use the antec.

Antec out of those for sure. They make pretty good stuff. :)
