I think it will be Spurs and the Heat. I think that the Heat will take it 4-3.

I am more inclined to think that Detroit will prevail in their series, only to fall in 6 to the Spurs.

Got give it to you when it comes to the Spurs. Very few people thought they'd make the Finals and you called it from the very beginning of the playoffs.

Now let's just see what happens with the Heat/Pistons series. The Heat looked mighty impressive last night.....

I will have to admit that last night's game tipped the scales in the Heats favor, but only slightly. The Pistons have proven time and again that they are a force when backed into a corner. I remember them losing homecourt during their series with The Pacers last playoffs and winning that one. I remember 'Sheed's guarantee of a win in the next game. It will be interseting.

I would like to see mr sheed guarantee a victory now. If he did, it would not come true.

Well with Wade possibly out, the Pistons have a good chance.

Heat played good defense and woulda won by a coupla more buckets if Zo had been show-boating his blocks :D

Spurs v/s either team will be a tougher matchup than the Suns because these teams actually defend.

Seeing as the next game will be played in Detroit, I think they have a better than average chance of winning. They are currently -5 at the Mirage. Wouldn't a game 7 be fun?

No. I think the heat needs to be done with it so they can have a game to rest.

How much rest does a team need to lose in 6? ;)

The Spurs will trounce whomever comes out of the east, but a safe pick would be the Heat.

I would love to see Heat at the Finals... after the loss of Suns..

come on play some interesting basketball and stop focusing 100% on the BORING defence..

at least with Heat in the finals we'll see some action..

Spurs & Heat, but Heat are taking it. Dwayne Wade is a monster

I hope the heat win the finals... how long has it been since an eastern team won? Bulls?

JakUp, Detroit is the reigning champion and they are in the Eastern Conference.

1337, would you like to put your money where your mouth is? I am.

That BORING defense is the reason why the Suns are at home and the Spurs in the finals. :)

Saz, what do you think of the Spurs transistion defense? I think it is among the best I have ever seen. They are great in the half-cout as well, what with their rotations and such. I wish Timmy were feeling a bit better, but his ankles will give the Miami fans a bit less to moan about wrt Shaq's thigh as an excuse should they be the eventual victims. I am still not ready to write the current champions off yet, however.

Doh! Sorry, DOC. When you spend as much time as I do in Sin City, you better know your horses.

Pistons beat Spurs in 6. Please, everyone keep picking the Spurs- you're just fueling Detroit's fire. I saw part of 2 SA vs PHX games and didn't see the great transition defense everyone talks about with SA, but I haven't watched SA most of the year. I only saw the SA vs Det game when Duncan was hurt. Like I said, :afro2: keep Detroit the underdogs-they like it that way.

You are right. I should just stop picking seeing as all of my picks have been so wrong.

 Way to go. You've been spot on throughout the playoffs.

Pistons are a great team with a great coach, but I agree that the Spurs have a slightly better team and I think Pop is without a doubt the best coach in the league so yea, the Spurs should win it.

Perhaps after Tim picks up his third championship he'll get the deserved recognition as the best center in the league. No more playing second fiddle to the Diesel. The Heat won without Shaq, but were lost without Wade. The Heat advanced only one round deeper this year than last and Wade was a significantly better all around player this time.....so what did Shaq bring to the team?

yea I dunno what I was thinking.. hehe
Before Detriot I think Bulls were the last though...

In any event, go Spurs! ;)
