Before the flames go up, I would like to point out 2 things.
1. Its a 6600GT
2. Heres the proof:

Makes me kinda glad that I own a regular 6600GT without a SLI.

Hmm looks like you were not smart enough to figure that SLI wasnt working in UT2004 by the time of that benchmark..

Check this thread although the guy was benching two 6600s against one 6800GT.

You may want to check ChrisRay's SLI investigation also:

http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=45422

He compares 6600s in SLI versus a single gpu, etc.

The results show SLI is clearly faster than a single, in case you don't want to check the threads.

if i had only one 6600gt, i would spit on it and throw it in a ditch. 2 6600gt's give acceptable performance. and 2 7800gtx's are what im saving up for, and they will be much faster than one 7800gtx

My biggest gripes with nvidia sli
At last count only works with 70+ applications and one of these applications is 3dmark2005, no dual display capability you have to restart to toggle between sli and non-sli mode the cards have to be eactly the same. And nVIDIA's Sli is a disgrace to what the real sli was capable of in its days boarder copatability and much higher yields in benchmarks. Personally skipping this crap and waiting to see if sli2 fixes this mess. nVIDIA's sli feels like a rushed product because it has too much issues for my taste.

I hate to be cynical. But those are unrealistic settings for a setup SLI users. Anyone who pays 2k + for an SLI setup and then plays @ 1024x768 with AA/AF deserves to be beheaded. ;)

Nothing wrong with a single 6600GT. It's a fine card. But it's just not a high end performer.

Dude......the 71.89 driver's UT04 profile is set at "single gpu" by default. TH should have known that.
