Meh .. its kinda lame & amateur writing that it looks to me that someone just made that up. it will be a shame if nvidia really commented like that because the full reviews/benchmarks of the Cf are not even up yet to decide how to respond.

I looked at it. And its telling us what we already know. That anyone can read up on if they have the time and willingness. Its not very well done.

Me thinks that someone has been fooled (or trying to fool someone) and link now removed.

Nothing interesting really .. its telling you what you already know like :
SPIN : ATi only showing 3 games where Cf beats SLI.

FACT : 1)ATi found these games where an X850XT-PE beats the 6800U & trying to convice people that thier Cf scales better than SLI.
2) if ATi has a full suite of number they should show them. "ATi came up short"

& stuff like that. funny read if you ask me.
& that comment on ATi's Cf dongle to look "ugly" is even funnier heh ..

Thanks for that ChrisRay.
Interesting read.
Don't like the PR tactics, but one or two good points that we will see clarified once the reviewers get theyr hands on the Crosfire cards
(specificaly the part of pairing on X850Pte with an X800, i'm curious to see if realy dumbs
down to the lowest common denominator)

Yes it does, but we already knew that... if you mix an x850 with an x800, it will perform like 2 x800's.

yeah...as opposed to that 6800U that I cant use at all with a GT

Nvidia cant even do that crap, so although I know this is fake tripe, no one has the right to say anything about it.

SLI2...nvidia seems scared to me. I cant wait to see the publics reaction to SLI2...as well as nvidia trying to explain the need for it. I'm 99% sure SLI2's main development reason is to add things like extra AA and whatever else...not OMG I NEED 2 x16 PCI-e SLOTS OR I CANT LIV!@!@1337. ATI's version has more features...this is what happens when you're second to market..

I'm also sure SLI2 wont be compatible with the 6800 series, this would be why Nvidia--in their infinite wisdom--are phasing out the 6800's....in ~3 months..they are old news...

they gettin gunned up and clapped quick

This sort of thing coupled with all the first time posters trying to stir things up, is just flat-out annoying. It is unfortunate we have to go through this sort of thing at every launch.

First time poster...long time reader buddy. Get off your ego trip and realize that post count != knowledge.

..Sigh..

Oh and if you find this type of thing annoying...stick to the pro nvidia topics.

Which you are showing quite well, passing off speculation about SLI2.

That, and complaining about how NVIDIA won't let you SLI a 6800 GT and an Ultra. That was rich by the way. :rofl

I don't find this type of thing annoying, I just find you annoying.

Look. The way you are acting. Which is aggressive and condescending. It's no surprise you're getting posts which question you're agenda with only a post count of two. I am not sure how often you browse web boards. But coming onto a forum with a one post wonder complaining and ***** is not going to get you many browny points with regulars. No one cares what hardware you own or prefer. They care about the attitude you have portrayed.

If you're a longtime reader, you should have known that it is very common to have lots of fans from the competitors joining the forum and usually making one post trying to rile things up and then leaving. Some will stay long enough to be banned, some are one-post wonders. It's just annoying and that's all I was saying. I was really just generalizing in my other post and not addressing you specifically but after reading your reponse, maybe the shoe fits?

Also, the topic isn't annoying, just some of the people are (Edit: oh well, after skimming the posts again I see that saturnotaku has already said that). Some just take a lot of the fun out of product releases, that's all.

Its good to know the foresight from some people
My question was also to do regarding the new AA method. But i refrase this for you:
If this aproach goes down to the lowest common denominator, how does this affect performance for the new AA method?Bearing in mind that the X800 (for instance) has not as much memory bandwith as for instance, a X850XT?
May be a bumb question, but i'm intersted in knowing never the less

Not from NVIDIA. Even NVIDIA internal-only docs & slides use the same templates as you see on external papers: white body page with NVIDIA logo, and swooshy lines across the top. Oh, and the NVIDIA CONFIDENTIAL notice on the bottom of each and every page...

I've seen NVIDIA competitive analyses. This ain't one. Oh, I suppose NVIDIA could have seeded this fake document as a double-back ploy, but frankly NVIDIA PR *cough* Brian Burke *cough* has never evidenced this kind of subtlety.
