Hello guys, first post...

As the title says I've just noticed I can no longer override my refresh rates since updating to 71.89 drivers.
That option seems to have gone since I dont know when as this is the first time I have updated my drivers, (new system/shop built) I think my installed drivers were 60 series. That set had a big list of resolutions that you could specify a refresh rate for.

Any help appreciated

Athlon 64 4000
6800GT
1 Gb PC3200

Oh, is 4118 a poor score for 3D Mark 05 ?

Thanks

Put this in a txt file, rename the extension to reg, run it, there you go. :)

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak]
"NvCplDisableRefreshRatePage"=dword:00000000

Yes, that 3dmark is way too low. You should be getting around 5300-5400 with that rig.

Thanks RpPRO that worked a treat :)
Sorry for the late reply, I had to go to work.

My next question would be how can I improve that score ?

I realise that I shouldn't rely too heavily on a synthetic benchmark, but it does seem if there is an underlying problem.

Athlon 64 4000
Asus A8N SLI Deluxe
1Gb PC 3200 (unknown brand)
6800 GT (unknown brand) PCI Express
Maxtor 160Gb SATA HDD
BIOS revision 1006 (I know its not the latest)

If anyone can suggest any tweaks/settings that would be good :)

I think checking the memory timings/speed in your system BIOS would be a good place to start.

Another thing you'll probably want to make sure vsync is turned off in the nvidia control panel.
