Woohoo, installed and running on my NEW AMD A64 3200+ :D I love it!
it is MUCH faster than my old Athlon XP 2200+. Yet to try any games yet, as this is also a fresh WinXP install too, but WOOHOO!!

Congrats... I'd be upgrading too if my finances were a bit better. Perhaps after I graduate from one of the colleges I'm going to this fall, something will come my way :D

I'm in 64, and I'm liking it so far. Most of my games are working great without any issues. I am glad I found an Antivirus application that works under win64.
Avast! Antivirus. So far I'm liking it better then the old AVG 32 bit counterpart.
I have only minor issues concerning my MP3 Player.
Congrats .. i too just joined the A64 club 2 months ago :)

Congrats,I love amd 64 cpus. I had the 3200 Clawhammer when it first came out from an xp 2700,then i had the 3700 clawhammer and now have the fx 55 .l The fx 55 chip is the best I've ever had. i just fire up clockgen up the vcore to 1.525 and bump her to 2.813 no problem. I think this chip could easily hit 3.0 but 1 im not that proficent at oc plus i would need better cooling run the tt venus 12 . Love the 64 cpus have fun!

Congrats. :D
Very soon I'll be dual core and 64. :D :D :D
Yes I am thinking of getting one soon as well. Already got my copy of XP64 :) I may wait 'till the price drops a little more tho. As it stands I'd have to spend at least $200 on the CPU alone to see any improvement.
Congrats! I love my 2800+, everyone sees it as a crappy budget processor, but it really packs a punch for such a low clock speed.

just a quick question.
Can one find any newer drivers for nForce 3 Ultra mobo's? I dont even know what drivers I have (I assume 5.10), but as everyone else on the boards, they have a LOOOOOONGGGG boot time. any newer ones ?

I took Windows XP x64 for a spin and my iTunes didn't detect my DVD drive. I couldn't get any decent drivers, had to use betas. And I didn't like the performance too much. I formatted and am now back to 32 bit XP Pro. I'll give it a shot again in a year.

Ohhhh. You were talking about software. My bad. I retract my scornful remark.

;) I'll wait for Microsoft to get it right before I use my 64 bit hardware with their 64 bit software. Till then 32 bit sailing it is...

Microsoft did get it right. It's the vendors who aren't supporting things. It's their responsibility (primarily) to provide driver support for their own products.

Ya man I upgraded 1 year ago from an AXP-2600 to A64-3200 and I was very pleased with the difference. This is by far the best computer I've ever had, and I'm hoping it'll last a good while still. And wow... you went from an AXP-2200? The difference should be even bigger for you
Enjoy! :)
