 That mean the cards will be on sales on shelves a day after launch on 21st June?

PHK? Must be new manufacturer sign on as Nvidia partner.

I zoomed into G70 core, 0517A1, it manufactured on Week 17 of this year, that around 25 April 2005. the heatsink looked sexier. :D

No I dont think the big gap in clocks will make any difference. Dont forget about Macci overclocked a X850 XT PE to over 900MHz (http://www.guru3d.com/newsitem.php?id=2725) scored 9591 3DMarks 2005 and DFI at Computex demorated same card at default 520MHz scored 9555 3DMarks 2005, not much difference with 400MHz clock for 36 3DMarks 2005.

A 20MHz overclocked 450MHz 7800 GTX will beat a laugh stock 400MHz overclocked liquid nitrogen 900MHz X850 XT PE. ;)

I am thinking about the memory speed and the core speed/pipes.

Memory speed increase linearly:
5900 900
6800 1100
7800 1200 (1400?)

Core and pipes grows almost geometricaly:

5900 4:2 * 450 = 1800/3600
6800 16:1 * 400 = 6400
7800 24:1 * 430 = 10320

(the numbers are not acurate but you get the idea)

So new cards must have new memory algorimts (compresion, etc...)
to avoid a bootelneck.

I belive that somtime that algorimts should not be enough
and memory could be a serius problem.

So in the next card generations we should se Framebufers caches
or 512 bit buses no?

No I think the leaks of 7800 GTX spec hinted that it will use TurboCache.

Well by Next I mean 8xxx, 9xxx, ...

Turbo cache in 7800?

Pcie is fast but it still to slow for faster cards, isn't it?

And with 256 & 512 MB there should be enough for framebufer
and textures

what kind of Turbo cache should use the 7800 and for what?

Oh right, probably not cos it will be very expensive.

PCIE is very fast to have cache, 7800 probably will use system RAM to share memory for turbo cache like it did with Geforce 6200 TC to help boost fps speed.

Might be for Longhorn compatibility aswell.
the MAX setting there is said to want a 1gb card, I guess you could run that with a TurboCache card, the more onboard RAM the better tho..

I'm skipping the next one too... :( the only next-gen thing I'm gnna buy is a new console (maybe even two). IMO the 6800gt will probably be enough for a while.(at least I hope so...)
