Hi,
does anybody use two (or more) parallel X servers? I usually startup two absolutely different desktop, but with this new dirver (4191) the second one always hangs or just shows some blurred display.

Can anyone test it?
e.g.
$ X :0 &
$ X :1 &

the first display shows the normal X-checkerborard screen. But the second has only lines, and you cannot display any other graphics on them (xterm -display :1.0).

Can anyone confim this bug?

(2.4.19, GeForce2 GTS, X 4.2.1)

Hi,

I spotted this last night. I don't use two KDM login screens, when I use a second X session it's either for remote display, or to run a game.
(I use "xinit wolfsp -- :1.0" to launch a session for playing the game, so I can flip back to check email and so on).

With the latest drivers, I don't get a crash, but the display is corrupted - the first line of the image appears to be repeated down the screen.

The strange thing is that flipping either to a console or the first X session and back again fixes the problem.

(MSI K7T Pro, Athlon 800, 2.4.18, X4.2.1, GeForce 3 Ti200

You are right! The effect is the same.

I've just tried to switch colsoles and it really fixes the "one line display"! Thanks for the hint.

Hopefully it will be fixed in a soon coming dirver
;) ...

I have exactly the same problem, thanks for the temporary solution, zaxxon. Got to mail nvidia for a bug report.
