I just couldnt resist this one for some reason. Apparently its a SM 3.0 game. I didnt realise that. Had a little picture of how it looked without SM 3.0 hardware. Hopefully it wont give me much problems with SLI! Will report back in a bit..

Heh, SLI is overkill for a game like that. That would be like going from a 9800pro to a 6800gt to play Quake 3 :p

Still, it looked funny. Not a game I would buy (unless it was really cheap), but considering the concept I expected it to be a lot worse than it apperently turned out.

ROFL! Really? I played the xbox version which looked pretty crappy, but was a blast to with a friend.

EDIT: Your joking... you have to be!

You're kidding right? This game is barely playable for me @ 4xAA/16xAF with AFR SLI. ((HDR off)) But all the shader effects are enabled. AFR2 seems to provide a good performance boost though. ((From 25 FPS average to about 40 FPS Average anyway))

Its glitchy though. And the glitches happen with or without SLI enabled.

Not joking at all. One moment.

I did my test on the demo not the retail game .. could it be the demo didnt have all features enabled?

Apparently most of these effects only work with Sm 3.0 capable hardware.

Actually I think YOU must be joking, since Quake 3 was never released on the Xbox ;)

OK, I meant the original, UNMODIFIED version of Quake 3. Even Quake 1 had bump mapping and real-time shadowing added to it. Regardless, my point was that SLI shouldn't really needed for a game like this. Though I'm surprised you're not getting that great of performance on it, even with all those effects on the base game looks pretty simplistic. Probably the HDR more than anything that cuts it down (although I'm surprised they would put such an advanced, realistic effect into a game that revolves around legos, haha).

You'd be wrong. My performance @ 1600x1200 with 16xAF is pretty absymal. SLI barely makes it playable to me. The shadowing is Nvidia Shadow Maps. Same thing found Splinter Cell. Just because a game has low polygon count doesnt mean it cant have pixel shader effects. Oh and think halo port quality. I havent had much luck with AA in this game yet. I'm not using HDR atm either btw.

Well. Anti Aliasing doesnt work with this game. Regardless of HDR/Bloom. It causes lots of wierd glitches. So I just keep it shut off. I'll get back with some screenshots..

Screenies. Cutesy.Heh The HDR/Bloom effects arent that noticable. At least they arent overexposed.

Yeah it worked fine with me on the 6800.

with the X800 though , it didnt.

Did it have all the shader effects in the demo? I admit. Looks like sloppy programming to me. AA doesnt do anything for the ingame graphics and causes tons of wierd graphic corruption with the menus/intro screens.

From what I could tell they had all the effects, I think my roommate might have it. He buys everything star wars.

Nope the demo didnt even have the options menu you just took a screenshot for. so i believe most of the shaders effects were disabled.

oh & BTW i tested @1280x1024 not 1600x1200 because the demo didnt support the latter res.

Looks pretty good on PC.

I found some of the user reviews of the demo over at downloads.com funny.
