Hello

i have a question,
I have a GF6600GT (Aopen Aeolus Geforce 6600GT-DV128) and i want a second GF6600GT, my question, can i take a 2nd GF6600GT from Gainward or i have to take a 2nd Aeolus??

No dude, as far as i know, both cards have to be the model and make from the same company.

Now u can do it other ways but that is not reccomended.

Muya is correct. You'll also want to have the same BIOS on each card. The BIOS for each should be the same from the factory so it's not something that you usually have to worry about.

ok thx, another question: how big is the performance with a second card? i had read that is not so big, what brings the 2nd card in games like Far Cry / HL2 / Doom3 ?

It depends .. some games takes big advantage of SLI & esp with AFR mode like Doom3 , while others take less advantage & some are not SLI supported so you gain nothing in them.
HL2 as well takes a good advantage but its mostly CPU limited even @1600x1200,4xAAA,8xAF.
FarCry is the least one among them when it comes to SLI gain .. around 40-50% i'd say . its uses SFR.
