Possible 7800 xxx lineup?

Since there is no Official word from nv, i was wondering something about the gf7 series.

what if,
geforce 7800 comes out to be with 24pipes
geforce 7800GT with 32 pipes
geforce 7800GTX with 32 pipes but higher clocks.

This sounds better, than
Geforce 7800GTX with 24pipes
geforce 7800GT with 24 pipes but undercloked.
geforce 7800 (vanilla) with how many pipes? 20? 16? ? ? ?

7800GTX - G70 core - 430Mhz - 24x1
7800 vanilla - G70 core - ~350Mhz -24x1 (the one with no extra 3 pin connector)

later .. & depending on the R520 specs comes the :
7900Ultra - G75 core - 400-450Mhz - 32x1 (2 power connectors, dual slot, 500W PSU recommended)

If there was to be a 6900U .. it wont be anything more than a refresh with increased core/mem clocks.
unless you actually wanted the 6900 .. thats a different story ;)

I guess there will be a 7800 (24x1, 350MHz Core, ~450MHz Memory), 7800GT(400MHz, 550MHz) and 7800GTX (430MHz, 600MHz). If ATi shows the R520 and it's faster than Nvidia thought, we might see a 7800Ultra.

And maybe at the end of the year, Nvidia will release G80 which probably will be produced in 90nm and is higher clocked than the GTX.

I think it will be more like this.

GTX 24 pipes with 430+ core
GT 24 pipes with 350 core
Plain 7800 with 16 pipes


I do not see the GTX and GT being much
different than the 6800u and GT are now.

This fall we will see an ultra with 32 pipes.
Or maybe a much faster clocked 24 pipe.

I agree with you about 7800 GTX, GT, 7800 ULTRA and their pipes.. .
BUT there already is the 6800 GT 350/1000 with 16 pipes in commerce, who would buy another 16x1, like 7800 (vanilla)????????
