the above is based on scaling the FX 5900 (NV35). actual Nvidia GPUs will probably differ significantly in transistor count and performance, but I suppose this can be used as a baseline to see were Nvidia GPUs will be over the next 9 years.
the Sony PS4 will be an Nvidia GPU sometime before 2014, probably of the 2011-2012 timeframe

Uh I have no idea what your talking ablout, Im not so sure you do either.
First off the PS3 is going to have nvidia graphics, and it's comming out 2006. where have you been?
Two the newer nvidia graphics cards are going to be more like the 6xSeries.
Why would Nvidia use the FX line as their base line when ATI totaly crushed that series with their 9x series?
What you will see is a rendering horse power race bettween ATI and Nvidia.
Nothing else will change too much in both ATi and Nvidia's GPUs execpt for ATI supporting sM3.0. Its a race to see who can stuff as much features, rendering pipelines, Clock speed, and Video memory they can into a Video Card and release it first.
