Well? What do you all prefer? Personally i have the five button Microsoft Intellimouse Optical and I love it! programmable buttons are so nice... i can sit there in photoshop and go undo... redo... undo... redo...

Im using the Intelli mouse explorer (5button, optical) first edition.
I bought it when my old genious ps2 mouse started to mess around, The left mouse button became weird, when click and hold it some times doubble clicked if I didnt press hard enugh, at the same time that started to happen I had just bought Ultima 9, Almost every time I tried to drag a potion to the belt or to the back pack I ended up drinking it, Made me very mad so I bought the intelli mouse. Its been working great since i bougt it, Im abit supriced that the mouse buttons has lasted as long as they have, been using it for a few years now.

Ive never ben a fan of Logitech. Never owend a mouse from them my self but a good friend of mine bought one of those first real ergonomic mouses, I just hated it. Way too big and clumsy and the buttons didnt feel right.

I do however like the look of the new logitech mouses and I might get one once my current one dies on me.

One thing is for sure. Im sticking with optical.

i like my $5 dollar generic optical mouse. :D i've had less problems with it than with my intellimouse explorer.

Since apparently Logitech has resolved the problems with its software and gaming, I'm giving the MX700 a shot. For a wireless mouse (my first) its tracking is exceptionally good. It was also really easy to set up. One thing that's not working (and I need to work with the software more) is when I middle click on a link using Mozilla, it's not opening a new tab. This feature worked fine on any Microsoft mouse I've used.

If this MX700 doesn't work out, I'll go back to my Intellimouse Optical SE.

Edit: I figured out why the middle click/open new tab feature wasn't working. In the Logitech Mouseware options, you have to check a box that enables Office compatible scroll only.

Every Logitech mouse I've owned has absolutely destroyed any MS mouse I've ever used. :p

Yeah, I thought my Intellimoose optical was great because of the side buttons, well, heh, when Logitech sent me the MX700 for review I didn't expect much out of it but boy was I wrong! heh, I think its even better having those side buttons on the same side, makes it easier, and the mouse is so percise, and its cordless, did I say that its also percise? Its too late, heh, Logitech already won, hands down.:D

I love my intellimouse, big and bulky and just the right refresh rate. its awesome you can set the programmable buttond to different functins per program, switch weapon in RtCW, forward and back in the browser ;)

i dont like giving in to the monopolies, but as far as mice go, you'll never have a prob with a MS mouse =Þ

I bought my Intellimouse Explorer, the original optical mouse ;) I havent needed a new mouse. I did have probs a bit back, think my mouse was dying, but found a guide on the net to fix that. Im sure that the new MX700 is a really great mouse, and I would think about getting one if my mouse ever goes belly up, still working after 3+ years now :D

Years ago I had an M$ Intellimouse whose wheel button wore out. I switched over to a Logitech Mouseman Wheel. Ever since then its been Logitech all the way with no problems. They ergonomically feel better imo. {lovingly strokes MX500}

I've bought 5 logitechs since i got a new computer 3yrs ago. All of them worked fine except the cordless mouseman optical. I recently bought the new MS blue optical mouse and i didnt like it much, it just feels weird.

can anyone tell me how heavy the mx700 is. cause the cordless mouseman I bought which had 2 batteries was quite heavy.

at first it feels a little heavier than normal. But after a day or two you don't feel the weight anymore. So its not an issue.;)

they just fixed the scroll wheel problems, i'm sure there are other minor bugs lurking in the code. they could probably eek out an extra .0000000001% of CPU utilization ;)

Someones a happy boyy me thinks :D Im sure that the MX is a great mouse, just put that link as it looks like MS have a cordless mouse with no mouse lagg, just like the MX ;) I must admit, a black/silver mouse would look better than the blue one on my desk.

My kitchen scales say:

Logitech MX700: 175g
MS Intellimouse Optical: 95g

(MS Intellimouse Optical is the small white version, with similar specs to the explorer, but with buttons on either side.)

It doesn't FEEL that heavy... :p

I think all you people complaining about how heavy it is are just pathetic weaklings. ;)
