I ordered this card today. My brother got BFG 6800GT. Anybody has experience with Leadtek 6800GT? I paid 299$, free shipping on Newegg :)

It has a huge coper sink with fan on it...

I was thinking to buy X800XL for 299$, but after running Radeon 9800XT (backup card), and seeing those drivers...i gave up.

The first batch of these cards were having the problems. That was A1 revision. It was almost a year ago August-December.

This card got B1 PCB which, the same one for 512MB version and works with no problems...

Newegg currently has a refurbished Leadtek Winfast 400 6800 GT for $240:

And a Leadtek Winfast 400 6800 Ultra for $336:

I'd be all over the latter if I didn't have a SFF.

The card is GREAT, i have the B1 revision, it rocks. its very silent.

Only problem you culd face, is if the card comes out to be 350/450 clockspeed. then you will hafta RMA.

350 is the clock speed for 6800GT anyway. 450 for memory is kind of wierd...

I will let you know when I receive the card, hopefully by this Friday...

I knw 350 is the GPU clock of a 6800GT.

But if you go to leadtek site, there r 2 6800GT models, one is Regular 68GT, other is "a400 GT Lite clock350/450 -{effective 350/900}-].
search on this forum, a few guyz recieved such a card, and had to RMA, coz the card refused to overclock mem above 450mhz. max it could be overclocked to was 455.

The bad part is , a few of Leadtek 68GT lite cards shipped in regular 68GT boxes.

how can you tell? i'd just like to check.

edit- i ask because Everest home edition reads as this:

GPU Code Name NV40GT (AGP 8x 10DE / 0045, Rev A1)

i dunno if i'm confusing it with something else though.

It has a little squared sticker on the left lower corner of the video board. It says A1 or B1.

Don't bother with it...

Mine is B1 revision, and my memory clock is 500MHz(1GHz effective).
Basically you still need to beware+luck when you buying from newegg.
I read some people who bought the same A400 GT after me still getting defective cards.

I received the card :)

It's B1 revision, didn't run any game. I'm at work right now. I plugged it in, and put windows XP CD...time for reformat (had bfg, 9800xt, now again leadtek).

I left the computer to finish windows installation. It's cool that everytime when you reboot computer, leadtek bios does self test reporting the memory and so...

Thanks...
