When I boot windows, after I load whatever background apps I want, such as ati tool, etc. I'm usually using about commit charge:136MB in task manager, after using an app or playing a game, even after exiting, I don;t get all my MB back, the commit charge goes up to 156MB and then higher as I use more apps, no big deal usually, just restart, but since i've decided to keep the ol' pc on 24/7, I'd like to find some prog that opens up the lost MB. Any suggestions? :)

EDIT: I realize while i'm using apps the commit charge will naturally go up, but i'm talking about after all is exited and i'm back to the desktop...seems I lose 20-50MB somewhere.

Your sig says you are running some version of XP, so you will not benefit from a 3rd party memory manager. If you were using Win98, CacheMan or something works quite well. The free and commercial memory managers/savers will give you a lower memory number in TaskManager at absolutely no performance increase to you. You already have 1gb of RAM, so you will hardly benefit from more with current games.
