I still have problems with this. On my copy of firefox, it is intermittent. E.g. sometimes it is slow as hell, whereas other times its instantaneous.

A bit off topic,
but in Opera has any one else noticed some serious slowdowns when the nvnews front page loads?

for what it's worth, I don't like it, craps it down

IE mac edition is horrible, and I hate the notion of having to use it.....

How large are the E3 videos? If they are small enough I can host them for forever without having to worry about bandwidth. :D

What I did here was just AdBlock the pricegrabber php. That got rid of the prices and left the product links which still work fine. I was having the same thing as AlphaWolf where sometimes it would load quickly and sometimes take a while.

I decreased the number of prices that are retreived from PriceGrabber from 15 to 10.

Yeah, it looked really bad. I inadvertently deleted an ending </table> tag.

Glad I saved the template before I hacked, uh..., changed it :)

Is there a good Firefox adblocker? I used the one that comes with maxthon (IE addon) and now everything is faster, but I would rather use Firefox... any suggestions?

Adblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=10&application=firefox

And Mike, the change you made seem to have really improved the load time of the front page for me within Firefox. :nana:

The Adblock hint worked like a charm .. thanks!

I think it is brower specific Sazar. IE loads it fine with no problems or wait, while FireFox slows down and has to load up that section first.

This issue may have been resolved in version 1.07 of FireFox.

I get the slow load times at the nV News homepage using IE, have been for about 2-3 weeks now.
FireFox loads fine, 2-4 second delay, at the most, thats with AdBlock.
