Well I have slackware 8.1 installed and I own a Ti 4200 display card. So my question is does it worth the trouble of downloading the sources and building drivers and kernel all over again ?...
Has it worked for someone with slackware 8.1?
Following the instructions in the README file is all I need to do ?
Any help is appreciated ...
Thanx
Given the fact that it was really easy for me to get it to work on Slack 8.1. Just compiled the driver and edited my XF86Config. I didnīt have to recompile the kernel...not sure what you mean with that. I load the driver as a module. Performance for me was a blast because i used the nv driver before which comes with X and which really slows down everything and is not capable of 3D. So, iīd say: Give it a shot!

I'm running slackware8.1 w/ my own compiled kernel (had scsi issues) and have had some problems.
While compiling I get some unresovled symbols, not nvidia ones like most of the other threads. I did not compile using ' make dep'
will be doing that tonight and letting you know how it went.
Problems with the newest drivers is the kernel driver. problems with th 3xxx drivers was a can't find device issue.
I am running a asus a7v266 w/ 1500xp, abit gf4 ti4200.
Could someone with similar specs post their xfconfig file to help me troubleshoot??
Thanks
