This is not about the gaming aspect but more about what could happen due to this.

My simple question is.....do we really need a whole generation of 12 year olds swamping the internet with general lameness? Personally I want to lock myself in a small room forever at the thought of all these kids proclaiming "I be 1337" "hahahaha" and well we know the rest;).

Then we will also have the idiot kids running around claiming their consoles own our PC's because they can now play online:rolleyes:

Am I the only one hoping they do a IQ test on all users before they are allowed on?:)

well of course consoles can't own pc's but..for what they are intended for, playing games and games only, they do a great job. playing on a lan is great, playing online is great, but sitting with couple other friends playing on a console can't be achieved using pc's. you have no worry about having good hardware, setting up and tweaking, ping/lag and consoles are alot cheaper.

Split screen. USB and serial controllers.:p My gravis X-terminator could hook up 2 controllers in a chain. Then you have someone on the keyboard, or using USB controllers. TV-out if you want, but in order to do split screen anymore you need an old as hell game. Or you can do a fighting game thats 2 player.:p :D

No you don't, Serious Sam lets you play split screen. Just plug in a second mouse for the other player and you're set.

I dont think his point was the battle of xbox vs PC (pcs clearly win :rolleyes: as anyone on this forum will tell you) but that now were going to have to be forced to HEAR all that chatter that used to be in the form of scrolling chat text on the screen. while ignoring someones repeated messages of:

...is easy, blocking out the audio form of a 12 year old saying it is plain annoying near impossible short of unplugging the headset altogether. it will definitely turn some people away from the whole online console playing experience :(

It's bad enough playing a football game and haveing 13 year old Timmy write curses at you and log off when it's only the 3rd quarter and you're only ahead by 3. (I'm not that great at football games. I leave that part to my bro:D ) Not all kids are like that, but some I've met online are.

I like Xbox Live but you are right the little kids can curse up a storm at you calling u poopy pants, smelly head, taint licker ect. all the way up to the granddy of them all the F word and there is nothing you can do about it but leave the game. I had one kid sing to me how much I suck. I mean it he was singing it. I wanted to bust my tv but I just muted him instead.:mad:

You very rarely get a game anymore where some lame 12 year old starts bitching at everyone, its bad enough when it is just text but if it is a game where you can use a headset it will ruin it.

Then we will have them coming online no doubt and spamming message boards.

The internet has gone too far!!:D

Would it be possible to hack a lame kiddies x-box when he is online? ;) :D
