Yeh, hopefully with 5-10FPS.
66GT owners...nah forget it..

It doesn't seem to be harder to render than nalu, i can't judge it from pics though as I can't see HDR and those things working, we'll find out when we see the demo.

The already show it during the PS3 presentation. It is harder to rendern. ;)

Yep, I've seen it. Although to be honest, I can't recall offhand what made it more technically complex or impressive than Nalu....

It was rendered with 2 x 6800 Ultra SLi.

That doesn't tell me why it's more demanding. Just looking at it I can't really figure out what's supposed to be impressive.
"You may have seen this card (below) several times before but you haven’t seen the girl - 'til now."
that's a lie, i saw that a few weeks ago, but i forget where lol.
To be honest, the pictures don't look that impressive. Compare it to Dawn which was a tech demo from two generations ago. You can only make a model look so realistic by upping the poly count. I think ATI was smart by putting Ruby into a detailed environment.

Go watch the ps3/nvidia presentation and you'll see why it's so demanding. And it really has nothing to do with the model itself but what's being done to the model and how the model is interacting with the world.

Ahh so there is more going on than whats seen in the picture. Thats what I was waiting to hear.

The volumetric rendering looks interesting. They also showed an Alfred Molina demo with various light maps and subsurface scattering effects, transmission throught the ears for instance.
Wow... a very impressive demo! I wonder if its the same one nvidia is gonna use for the 7800 tech demo.
Did you notice the long pause after he said "lovable creatures"? lol they were anyting buy lovable.

Very probable. That was Jen-Hsun Huang doing the demo btw.
Wow... what nice big hands... for groping... For NV60 they'll have the girl surrounded by tentacle beasts! :D
Edit: On second thought, maybe not since tentacles wouldn't have bones in them to show off nice HDR effects heh. Veins maybe?
hmm she looks like the asian girl in last flight of osiris/aka rehash of final fantasy spirits within models

Considering the metaphor of the tentacle in anime as being covert masculine sexual imagry, having throbbing veins inside questing tentacular appendages might not be in the best of taste. Even if it would look cool as hell rendered realtime. I bet Luna's successor would quickly cross her legs if such dared render close. But I digress.
