im not sure the specs for the flatpanel on my laptop, It's a gateway solo 9550 w/a geforce2 in it. but EDID is cutting my sync ranges down and all i can use is 1024x768

heres a snippet from my log..

(WW) NVIDIA(0): The user specified HorizSync "40.000-70.000" has been adjusted
(WW) NVIDIA(0): to "40.000-49.000" (the intersection with EDID-specified
(WW) NVIDIA(0): HorizSync "29.000-49.000")
(WW) NVIDIA(0): The user specified VertRefresh "60.000-75.000" has been
(WW) NVIDIA(0): adjusted to "60.000" (the intersection with
(WW) NVIDIA(0): EDID-specified VertRefresh "0.000-60.000"

this worked in windows xp (came with laptop) up to 1600x1200.. any suggestions as to what i can do?

Have you tried earlier drivers?

yup, they all work but only w/1024x768..

EDID is resetting the h/vsync rates-- isnt EDID sent by the display? im pretty sure if i just plug in valid sync rates for my display ill be able to run 16x12 no problem..

Best suggestion I can make, is to email Gateway and ask them if they can give you the Display specs..
