And sth big!
7800U will be a dual-core on-chip SLI thing.(90nm from IBM)16pipelines +16pipelines

Well i guess that confirms it .. the 7800GTX get 7800 marks! :D
that o/ced score equals what i get in dual 6800GTs .. however i really doubt that everyone can overclock to such speeds or even get playable experiance at those clocks.

Wow, yeah looks like all the sites are pointing to it heh.

I think the score of SLI section should be higher.
Maybe the driver's issues?the bottleleck of PCI-E?

bandwidth bottleneck as sharing the same framebuffer ? Vertex limited ?

Man kinda dissapointing... hopefully immature drivers.

not dissapointing imo. just means us 6800 gt/ultra owners dont have to upgrade :D

Not bad for pretty raw drivers for the 7800 GTX, as the SLI drivers mature we should be seeing at least 14k, I hope.

Looking at the The Inquirer it still has Samsung 1200MHz memory on it .. sigh, 1400 and 1800 has been on their website ( Samsungs ) for ages, I wonder why it is not out in the open yet ? The initial spec for GDDR3 said 1.8v I seem to recall but Samsung pushed it up to 1.9v and then 2v, so maybe they have yeold issues and hence no faster ram.

At the Inquirer it also states 24 pixel pipelines but 16 ROPs, so it looks like they have done the same thing with G70 as with nv43, ie cut back on the ROPs to save transistors. I suppose that would at least match up better with the 1200MHz memory.

If I read this correctly the output fillrate is no better than an Ati X800 but it can do more shading on that output internally .. ???

The price of GTX will soon drop down to $400 .
Because of the secret weapon which will be available in August From NVDA

What secret weapsons would those be then ? :)

$400 would be very nice , at that prcie it is certainly worth an upgrade from my current 6600GT.

As I've said in countless other places, the card is bandwidth limited. The 5900 had too much. The 6800 had just about the right amount. The 7800 has too little. Didn't the 5950 have like 900mhz memory? That means that two generations of cards later the memory clock speed is up 300mhz? Hopefully board partners (BFG :D ) will slap on 1.4ns memory.

7800U 256bitx2 VS R520 512bit special edition from Mars.
And any mass-produce of R520 is not available untill Christmas.

7800U 256bitx2

Thanks :) I now have to work out what a memory bus of 256x2 means ! Obviously not 512bit .. ?????

90 nm 16pipe+16pipe(something kinda dual-core:G7X+G7X packed together.)
Like the rumor spec of G80.

I can't wait till August/September, I'm afraid. :-\ And if I'm going to be spending $600 on a graphics card, I'd want a 7800U if it's that close. I'll probably end up buying a 7800GTX.

Wow! If this is true, then I'll wait for the 7800U after all! In any case, I'd better not buy anything at least till the end of July till the prices drop a little.

I hope this thread doesn't end up getting censored and locked because of all the sensitive information it contains. :D

You should wait for 7800U,I think .It is so amasing.
