Hey, i'm looking for a good, non- (or not annoyingly) advertising one that gets the job done, aka: speed. resuming. That's most important to me... i used to use getright but i hate it... i was thinking about going back to gozilla... anyway, what do you all reccomend?

KaZaA Lite works wonderfully, and gets rid of the spyware/popups that plain KaZaA has.

FileZilla (http://filezilla.sourceforge.net) is the best FTP client for Windows, period... I GUESS you could call that a DL proggie ;)

I've been using Download Express for a long time. It's fast, no ads, resumes, works great with no problems, completly free.

does DAP have ads? i can't remember :p

No ads, no spyware, I've tried others, I like this (Download Express) the best. DAP has ads

Oops, haha....stupid me; but hey it was fairly late and I hadn't gotten much sleep.

I've used DAP, and from what I remember there weren't any ads.

I've used many download agents, but I've always come back to DAP. It's easy to use and has not once messed up a download for me. It does have ads, but those are easily removed. ;)

I use star downloader, I've tried a few and keep coming back to this one. I think its the best.:D ;)

To get rid of the ads in DAP, you just have to delete the Ads folder as far as I remember... or was it the contents of the Ads folder...

lol, thats why I recommend Star Downloader. It is supposed to be spyware free, fast and easy to use. Oh yeah and it doesn't cost a thing.;) :D

When I run Ad Aware after installing DAP (and removing the ad support) the program doesn't report any spyware present on my system. And I trust Lavasoft that this is true. :)

I tried Lightning Download a bit back.

It advertises...itself (30 day trial)

I like it so much I paid for it.

Then download my patch in the attachment to remove all adware and unlock member options.

I use flashget currently. Although i'll give DAP another shot as it was my first real download manager. Getright never really used mirrors to speed up the downloads
