I don't really know what you mean.. but I guess it should have some sort of HD hardware acceleration.
Do you mean the ability to output signals to an HDTV ?

Yes does it support 720p 1080p I'm looking to connect it up to a new LCD
just wondering what Hi def video out support it has.
I'm not 100% sure but I guess NVidia will add that feature as well to it's new high-end product
GeForces 6600 already support it through a dongle (component video adapter)

I think he means if it decodes/encodes MPEG-4 AVC (a.k.a. H.264). Well I guess so, R520 will.

HDMI, likely not. It should be DVI equipped and recent driver updates have allowed the HD format to be a "resolution" setting out of the DVI. Many cards are bundling component outputs, as well. I use component in from the HD cable STB on my plasma as it seems to be "smoother" than the HDMI.
My brother uses a Dell LCD HDTV for his primary monitor on a 6600GT. I have run my Plasma off of a 6800GT using the DVI port and the VGA port.
What kind of TV or display will you be using? It is likely that the native resolution is not actually 1080p or 720p. Many LCD and Plasma displays accept HD signals and use image processing to fit that format into a 1280x768 display, for example. If that is the case for you, the card can be given a custom resolution in the drivers to support your display and let your computer do the deinterlacing and image processing of DVD 480i content and upconvert to your "monitors" resolution.

Well, that is my point. You can set up the vid card to run at 1366x768 as a custom resolution, if the card does not recognize it. That resolution is not actually 720p, 1280x720. You should be able to set your card to 1280x720 and the TV will recognize the source as 720p and up-convert to its native resolution.
