Like the chipset heatpipe.. just wish they woulda thought of it earlier.. rather than junk I got. Other than that I see no compelling reason to replace my current board.

After just now reading the tbreak review, I ordered one of these. I hope it's worth it.

Have you replaced your fan yet? The RMA version is much quieter.

I replaced it with my own. But I'd still rather have the passive cooling solution mentioned here.

I am thinking of buying the A8N SLI Prem, and sell my DFi board off, never liked the jumpers to switch from SLi to single mode on the DFi board.

Ordered the ASUS SLI Premium as a home for Jakup's 6800 Ultras. With an Amazon birthday coupon, it was only $184 shipped. w00t. Will report results later.

Mine has shipped but unfortunately, the 7800GTX I ordered from mwave to go in it was cancelled by mwave. Oh well, it was worth a shot I guess.

I've got some Best Buy gift cards left from X-mas and Father's Day. I'm going to buy me something just haven't decided what yet. :afro2:

Clay just got the MSI one and Rytr got the Gigabyte one I think. I have the ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe. I want to replace the fan but have been too busy lately. ;)

I just got my board this morning, just wondering are heat pipes sopost to get hot? My board temp is only 33C after 5 hours runninf and it's a very hot day. My CPU is water cooled and runs at 34C. My DFi board would run at 45C+, but damn the heat pipe gets pretty damn hot. Also a pretty decent overclocker too doing 266MHz @ T1 with 7.2GB/sec bandwith. Too bad my memories latency is poor might see what i can do about that.

heatpipe being hot means its working :P

or is it too hot to keep your finger on it for 10 seconds?

i like how without the sli connector you might be able to use one of those expansion slots in between the 2 16x pci express slots with a single slot card (7800gtx heheh)

Where did you buy it from? When you received it did it come with the logo on the heatsink that says "FanLess Design ASUS".

The one on Newegg does not have the logo?

Also which BIOS does it come installed with?

Thanks

Well i got mine from www.overclockers.co.uk
I ordered it 2pm yesterday and got it 7.40am today yes it has fan less design on the heat pipe attached to the chipset. Also it came with the 1005BIOS which is dual core compatible i believe, also it had AMD Athlon 64, AMD Athlon 64 FX and AMD Athlon 64 X2 on the box, along with Dual core support in a blue box. It will have Fanless design ASUS on it, it's just that the block is silver rough and the text is smoothed out so at an angle will be hard to see.

Just got mine a few minutes ago. Hopefully the GTXs will be here tomorrow and I'll be all set for the weekend. Just realized I don't really have an SLI-approved PS though. Hopefully I can find something locally.

This motherboard comes with a ton of stuff. I was surprised to see a bracket that allows external SATA connections, for example. They thought of everything.
