tech connect has always been lame. their url is banned at guru3d since they have been known to rip off other people's work.

Another lame thing is the absence of the 1280x960/1024 res benchmarks :thumbdwn:

that entire site is embarrassing. check out their amazing x800xt pe vs. x800xl coverage. hmm, which one do 'ya think is going to win?

behold! the stunning result! The X850XT is the faster of the two cards, as befits ATI's current flagship model, and it also has some of the fastest performance indices on the PCI-Express market, if one is prepared to ignore the poor OpenGL showing that has been plaguing ATI since they started optimizing their cards for DirectX games.

Wow, I looked at one benchmark on that page and closed the window... 6800NU vs. x850xt pe.. wtf? :wtf:

Plus, some of those numbers are outright lies...

" PCI-Express high end system:
* AMD X2 - 4800+ Dual core

* 1GB Dual Channel Corsair memory

* MSI K8N Diamond mainboard

* 250GB Maxtor 7T250P0 HDD (8MB, 9.3ms)

* 350W power supply

* DVD/CD drive

* 19 inch CRT

AGP system:
* AMD Athlon XP 2600+

* 1GB Single Channel Twinmos memory

* VIA Chipset mainboard

* 80GB Maxtor HDD

* 300W power supply

* DVD/CD drive

* 19 inch CRT"

WOW IDIOTS! they didn't use similar setups for AGP and PCI-E systems..WOW

a athlon XP 2600+ for AGp...and an amd athlon X2 4800+..hmmm which is faster? lol......

lol, that's pretty funny... i often wonder how some people are able to function doing things like this

Yeah they obviously have no place in the PC hardware\software review business. Sad thing is, people eat that stuff up anyway and they will probably be around for a long time. Retards... :retard:

Bah .. i believe many of nvnews regulars are capable of doing 10x better reviews than this .. let alone the experts.

makes you wonder why graphics card vendors are still supplying them to publish such reviews.

That struck me too.. its like they are putting the 6800NU against X850XT PE without really saying so...

Agreed

Probably why they only have a 6800 AGP NVidia card
I am surprised at their ~37,000 Alexa ranking
