Hmm memory decisions

Hey guys I currently have 1024MB of ram running in dual channel with memory timings of 2.5/3/3/5

I want to upgrade my ram to 2GB but a bit strapped for cash atm (due to damn MCP course) so cant swap exisiting ram for 2*1BG sticks. I have seen a Corsair 1024MB kit (2*512MB) and seriously considering it (£52 delivered!!!)

However this RAM will do 2.5/3/3/6 and I will lose my dual channel.

So do you think I will notice a performance decrease at all by slightly changing my RAS settings and in losing dual channel?

Battlefield 2 was the deciding factor really...

System Specs
AMD 643500 (939)
ASUS A8V Deluxe
2* PNY PC3200 DR400 sticks (suprisingly good!)
2* Raptors Raid 0

Current memory performance
Memory Read = 5639 MBs
Memory Write = 2280 MBs
Latency = 54ns

Why would you lose dual channel by using 4 sticks? I could be wrong but other than running @ 2T command rate that would be the only performance hit (other than tRAS of 6 according to the specs you posted).
