Noticed on the web front page of nvnews and other sites that someone is stepping up to the plate and selling their product when they actually launch. Someone finally realized what it felt like when christmas day came and you were told to wait until next christmas to get your gifts. I am referring to 7800 series that nvidia is launching.

i agree. its nice to see a company get everyone excited about something new.. and then actually have it available. good on nvidia for making hype and then having a product to sell while people are still pumped up about it

It's still a paper launch if they cant get WORLDWIDE availability for the 7series, by worldwide I mean namerica + eu. If its usa only like last time with the high-end cards then theres nothing to see here.

NVIDIA supposedly started a policy of product on launch day back for the GeForce FX 5700/5950 announcements. Anyone remember if they were available on launch day?

AFAIK, that policy was product within 40 days of launch... or was it 14?

Sorry forgot about all the billions of 3rd world people craving for a 600$ graphics card. :D I think south americans should be more offended, and I mean the south america that starts from the south border of the US.

In fact, I live in a country that in a recent survey was just behind Austria (at #1) in the high-end-gpu to capita ratio.

If you live in the top 30 and I didnt include you, I apologise.

My point is that you don't know the meaning of the word, 'worldwide'. Go look it up in a dictionary, Mr. Citizen of the number two (no pun intended :p) country!

Or maybe, people in the number two country (who are just behind the people of Austria... the number one country) don't need to refer to dictionaries because they can always have an ultra expensive silicon knowledge bank embedded directly into their brains, from which they can retrieve any kind of data (including porn videos, of course) instantaneously... right? Yeah, right. What was I thinking? Dictionaries are soooo 3rd world!

Now excuse me, I think I just heard my tribal call for breakfast. (tribal) I should have just enough time to take a bath and get into a fresh set of bark and leaves before breakfast... you do know what breakfast is, don't you? I should hope that the rich eat too... if not for bodily sustenance, then at least for the sake of enjoyment and sensory titillation.

P.S. Since this probably isn't printed on any of your millions of crispy bank notes , I ought to tell you that self-righteousness isn't the greatest thing in the world... even if you are *gasp* rich! Particularly in your case admitting your mistake would have been better than coming off like a big elitist, snobby jerk. Or perhaps you think you don't need advise from a man (if at all you can condescend to consider me a 'man') living in the wretched and miserable third world, because, maybe you are a big elitist, snobby jerk. *shrug*

P.P.S. I'll be blunt. When you refer to North America and the EU, you are not talking about the whole world. There is a lot more to the world than North America and the EU... now we ony need an American to tell subbo to shut up because nobody cares about the old world.

Thread closed.

It's clearly NOT a paper launch. And unless NVIDIA has 7800s availabe in Antarctica then I suppose Subbo won't be happy anyway. Chill out guys.
