I think they just ran out of room to put the SLI label on that graph for that second (123 fps) value. It's implied I think since the one above it does read as being SLI.

I'm thinking the same thing.

That FC benchmark also raise an important question : whats that SLI profile being used to achieve ~ 75% performance gain (63fps to 111fps)? it looks to me more like an AFR profile than SFR.

i used to get 30-40% gain in SLI with my 6800GTs which only works in SFR.

new SLI profile coming ? more efficent subsystems & memory execution ?? .. i wonder.

FArcry another top title.. using sm3.0 .in the above review the X850 wins by a hair..to the next generation NVidia card.. not impressed. :( The G70 have a serious bandwidth bottleneck ,once u raise AA and AF the cards shokes. really Nvidia looks will drop the ball this generation in the enthusiast market.

I would wait a bit to see performance in newer titles before deciding that one.

The X850 is not using 3.0 and runs in 24fp not 32 like nvidia
has been doing for over a year now.

I want to see the 520 up against the 7800.
That way everything will be on = ground.
Plus the 7800 drivers are still new.

How did they drop the ball?
ATI has not even got a card to market. "lol"
I would say $ wise Nvidia just kicked ati
in the teeth.

Don't think Nvidia has been sitting on
it's butt. It seems the G70 has been done
a while. I'm Very sure they have a faster
card ready for ati's counter move ready to go. "AKA Ultra" ;)

Well since the X850XT is faster than the X800XL you can pretty much assume it will beat the 7800GTX in HL2. I'm afraid that ATI will still be the HL2 king. This is a fine thing. How many are licensing Source?

Now, flip that coin and ask yourself "How many developers are licensing the Doom 3 Engine?"

Source isn't much of a factor, in my opinion.

The real question is, what will NV do if r520's rumoured specs materialize? Will they be able to dish out a 32 pipe refresh? Hmmm...I think this fall is going to be pretty heated, as always.

ATI has not even got a card to market. "lol"And when they do, will anyone be able to buy it?

I dunno why they're using those old 1.2 Ghz memory chips, that are a huge bottleneck for the card in very high resolutions with FSAA/AF, when, Samsung is producing 1.6 GHz chips since xmas.

... Samsung said that it has mass production of its 1.6 Gbit 512 Mbit GDDR3, which was announced in December 2004.
Well, maybe they're reserving those chips till ATi's answer (next month ???)

The full story about Samsung's chips is here: http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050621_170529.html

DOH

Like the NV40, the G70 can do trilinear filtering and up to 16X anisotropic filtering for FP16 textures, but its ROPs still can't do multisampled antialiasing with FP16 color formats. Supersampling is possible, but likely painfully slow.

Would be great if you could bench with LOCK ON MODERN AIRCRAFT COMBAT. That game takes hell of a grunt to run on any PC.

With my 6800GT @ 1600*1200 and highest in-game settings(without AA/AF) it gets 10-25fps. Even Dual SLI 6800ULTRA might have trouble running that game. Lets see what 7800GTX can pull out.

I love the LOMAC, its so much fun. By far the best flight sim. I have ever played.

My Specs: AMD 64 3500+@ 2.4Ghz, Leadtek 6800GT 391/1100 FW enabled, MSI Neo2, Z680, Antec 550, blablabla.

Check your private messages. I have the game and will be glad to run a few benchmarks for you.

BFG really made the best move by clocking the memory at 1300MHz.
Can you believe the 599$ MSRP!!
