i dont think it would be a good idea to run 7800 with applpe 30inch i just emailed a UK supplier asking if the card was dual link DVI and would work with Apple 30" monitor (this was the XFX GF7800) there reply was this

"we would recommend not sir as the card does not support the maximum resolution for
the 30" apple display according to its specifications it may work but we wouldnt
suggest it as even if it does you wouldnt get the full resolution.

It will work as long as it has a Dual-Link DVi port.

Mainly, he is probly just trying to save him self alot of greif. Oddly enough the people who can affoard the 30" monitors are noobs, and coudlnt figure out that only one port supports dual link. Then he would have to deal with them.

yeah i think ill wait though, i dont want to spend over £2500 and then realise i need a different card.
