This is one area where the 7800GTX's really shine.. my 6800 Ultra's got half this:

Have you checked out this review (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/geforce-7800_5.html) ?

*edit* i see they got the same score as you except they ran the benchmark at 1024x768...hmmm

Hey jakup how did you get a mode such as 1600x1200? All I get is up to 1280x960, and my LCD monitor is 1280x1024 :/

hmmm.. all I did was pick it in the options... heh I am using a CRT though

1280x1024 it's 5:4 not 4:3 that's why you can't use the native/max resolutión

Yes but every single other game out there has 1280x1024 as an option, and there isn't a single LCD in the world with 1280x960.

Maybe because it's beta the haven't made the 5:4 mode yet ;)

1024x768, 4xAA/8xAF, all options max (soft shadows on), HQ set in the control panel

Min = 7
Avg = 30
Max = 254

At 16x12, with 2xAA/8xAF, all options max (soft shadows on), HQ set in the control panel, I got like 22 avg.

Those fear results are direct proof that the ram is holding the 7800 GTX back the xbit labs review. Results are similar to 6800 ultra is SLI when AA is on :).

Hmm, not sure what the deal is but I set the Image settings to Quality and turned on all the optimizations. I got this result:

1024x768, 4xAA/8xAF

Min = 10
Avg = 61
Max = 453

That can't be right.

I see in the xbitlabs review they couldn't select any higher rez than 1024x768 either.

I ran the test 3 more times getting the 60 avg at 1024x768 with 4xAA/8xAF. Then I switched to 16x12 again to see what the results would be like for it and got around 20 avg. I then switched back to 1024x768 4xAA/8xAF and got the normal 7/32/263. I think switching the settings caused the AA to take effect whereas when I was getting the 60+ fps, I think AA might not have worked even though I had it set in-game to 4xAA. Maybe I need to do a vid_restart type of thing like other games for setting to truly take.

I noticed that after changing the settings in the Performance section i had to click back to the previous screen to get the new settings to take effect then click back to the Performance section to 'test settings'

Okay, maybe that's the issue I'm having. Thanks for the tip.

How's 90 fps average for 1600x1200 4xFSAA 16xAF everything MAX including softshadows ;)

It's on a x1900xt CF setup @ 690/800 and with an Intel E6600 @ ~3.5 Ghz.

And yes, I do actually have one ;) http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=99057

Not offensive for a single 7800GTX...

2x AA/4x AF, no soft shadows, all settings maximum, EAX HD on

OK so how are these results? Seems a tad bit on the slow side shouldn't I be getting 70+?

I'm using 91.31 for my driver and the CPU is @ stock speeds. Video card is a single XFX 570/775 GX2.

1920x1080. 8xAF/4xAA. *Everything* at maximum settings except for soft shadows (turned off).
