i'm about to drop the cash on the game, but i want to make sure.

the demo runs on my machine, but i don't want to spend money i can't get back on the game if it's not going to run.

Not officially, but I know a couple of people are running BF2 on Win2k

Wait a minute...

The demo does run on Windows 2000 ?

Dang, downloading it now then...

I'm running the demo just fine on Win2k, SP4. only problem I have is the some square shadows now and then caused by the video card drivers I'm using. People have this same shadow problem in WinXP so its not big deal.

Other than that demo works great, is a lot of fun :)

I told you that TWICE in the other thread about BF2.

And yes, the game does run under Win2k, but it's not officially supported. But I haven't had any more crashes running it on Win2k than I have under WinXP (which is still too many).

O.k. I didn't really read the other thread actively..

It runs on 2000.

It ran o.k.

Just not on full details for me. (Lower specs.)

I ran the demo on win2k after I found out I could do it. And yes, the full game does run on win2k. It plays fine. I tried it on XP, and it didn't run any better. I don't have any problems either.. it runs all high details, lighting to medium and 1280x960 2xaa (6800gt, athlon xp, 1gb ddr).
