So who else has one or two of these cards?

Check your bios version and 3D clock speeds..

mine are bios 5.70.02.11.22

3D clocks are reported as 460 / 1200

BFG web site, box, and store state clearly 460 / 1300

I have e-mailed their tech support about it, but post here if yours are the same and I'll forward them a link later, they of course may ignore me as I'm not in the US...

Cant manually clock to 1300 stable?
Should be covered by warranty if they DO state its supposed to run 1300 mem..

Possibly, but the point is people pay a premium for the oc version because they want the faster card but also a warrenty, so it should be bios set at the clocks they advertise.

I picked up the same card and you are right. I am seeing the same thing with the same BIOS version.

And I can't play WOW at all. The whole game completely studders. Didn't have this issue at all on 6800GT.

Could it be that programs needs to be updated to recognize it correctly?

I emailed the BFG sales division about this, I have one on its way from the UK. I'll let you know if they answer.

Yeah..
Strange thing happened here btw, I had my 6800GT sent back to Gigabyte for repairs.. when I got it back it defaulted to 375Mhz core instead of 350..
seems they must have been fiddling with the BIOS there..
They sent it back broken tho, one month down the drain, DVI and TV-out are still dead, so I had to return it.. AGAIN.. right when BF2 came.. great.. NOT..

At the moment Riva tuner doesn't recongnise the driver so no good, (need a newer version), I was going by the clock speeds reported in the drivers supplied with the card.

repost if you get anything, I sent to tech dept, and I'm sure others have noticed / e-mailed them also...

I kind of had a problem with the ram issue too but with my EVGA. They advertised my E-Geforce FX 5900 Ultra to be 500/900 when really it was 500/850 with latest bios for it, now I know its not that much of a performance drop but really got to me, It turned out to be the drivers because the it would drop down the speed after a reset.

I think final speeds will be 460/1200. AFAIK, BFG has never offered cards with overclocked memory, only overclocked cores, though I don't know for sure(NM I checked, they have some cards w/oc memory. :) ). If you notice their page, it says "460 as opposed to 430" but they say nothing about the memory. They probably made a mistake with it, thought the speed was 1300 as standard, which is still inexcusable though. I should have gone with the XFX card, I think 450/1250 would be slighlty faster. Really bad experience for a first time BFG user. :(

says 1300 on the box - I paid extra for that!

anyway _ It finally agreed to run at 1300 (at 3d, for some reason it wont do it for 2d).. ran 3dmark05 without artifact that I could see.. still want to know why they are messing me around though.

Yeah I saved screen shots of both the web site specs and the stores specs before posting this thread or e-mailing them just incase they all update it & are struck by a sudden attack of amnesia ;) I know it's also on the box , but if it were just the box as proof they could say it was a printing error or similar.

A solve for me would be a new bios that sets it to 1300mhz, but with it implicitly stated flashing to will not void my warranty, and it assumes the cards will handle the new clocks without issue. Using the auto detect feature it comes up with 498 / 1350

I was wondering from the begining how BFG could garranty 1300MHz for 1200MHz rated memory. Its just way above spec while XFX was more concervative going 1250Mhz.I hope you guys get what you were promised. :)

Yeah, I hope so also since that was the main reason I went with BFG. I haven't been able to check mine yet though since I'm still in the process of putting my system together. I'm hoping I'll have 1300 but I'm doubtful. I think GlowStick said his reported 1200 in the thread where he was having trouble getting the SLI stuff to work.

hey guys check the back of your card see what bios it shows. Mine shows 5.70.02.11.01

wish I could test but waiting for my cpu :)

Iam hoping the bios I have is the advertised clock speeds 460/1300

Has anyone tried to see if 1.3ghz is even stable? Maybe its misprint on their site..

Better to check what the drivers report as the card sticker is not always correct...

Bit of a major error then if so, I'm sure there's a different team proofing the site & the box design, as it's on the box, site, and the stores site. Not sure about the USA, but in the UK I think it would come under the misrepresentation of goods act.

The sticker may be incorrect. Check this thread (post #10).

Like you, I'm waiting on my CPU so I can't check mine yet.

It's state everywhere u look that the clocks are 460/1300.

They would give me a refund if it's only clocked 1200.
That's complete BS and false advertising.

BFG better get this fixed VERY quick or it's
going to hurt sales big time.
I was planing on getting a BFG to just because
of the 1300 memory. This Suxs. :(

Might have to cancel my order for this card if indeed they are advertising a false specification.
