If any of you read the reviews on the front page, it's looks that the fx-57 has a memory controller that will allow four ddr 400 dimms to work properly on the motherboards now.

Unfortunately though, still 2T right?

4 dimms run properly with my 3500+ Except, just at 2T.

I would like to know. Because going 2T is the work around right now to the problem. Otherwise, you get 1t ddr 333 without a manual bios change.

THe FX57 runs 1T DDR400??!?! Oh please tell me yes, how about the dual cores? Are the memory controllers on that fubared as well?

I've just installed X2 4400+, and it is still not capable running 1T Command Rate with 4x 512 DDR500 installed. Sad. Very sad. Memory read test is in fact WORSE than on my old Intel system with P4 3.2GHz and 875 chipset.

AMD should finally fix this, or hire somebody to do the work they obviously are not capable of doing.. Integrated memory controller (a bad one) is the worst thing that happed to A64 design.

Its improving atleast..
with my NewCastle I cant even run 2x 512mb Double Sided at 400mhz..
had to step them down to 333mhz, normally the BIOS should have done that, but didnt, so I was scratching my head with this instability for a while..

What is your defult volatge for your 4400+? mines 1.29v I heard there are two types of processors on the market one low voltage the other very low voltage.

1.328V is the default voltage, using Enermax 600W power supply and Asus A8N-SLI Premium board. I am not sure if this is low or "ultra low", but I was able to overclock the board with default voltage to 2.5GHz Prime95 stable, and with voltage 1.45V to 2.7GHz Prime95 stable, using Artcic Freezer64 to cooll it.

Not that overclocking would be needed that much, as I am running multiple apps all the time, and even stock X2 4400+ is an incredibly huge advancement from A64 Venice ;-)

all the reviews are saying that the fx-57 can run four double sided ddr 400 chips but they aren't saying if they will run 1t or not. As for the x2's, it sounds from the replies it wasn't fixed yet.
