First time using Nvidia in years so please forgive my ignorance. I just purchased the 7800gtx and installed the 77.72 drivers and coolbits 2. I'm missing the settings for opengl and direct3d. With Ati you had the ability to setup AA and AF seperatly for each. I know in the old Nvidia drivers you could set individual settings for both opengl and direct3d apps but that seems to be missing in mine.

Did they change there driver structure or did I do something wrong? The only thing I'm getting is the global driver settings and I'm assuming that this controls both?

thanks

Separate generic D3D and OpenGL settings haven't been available on NVIDIA drivers for a long time. Now it's either global settings or based on the specific game you want to play via the in-game profile system.

While you're at it, you might want to try nHancer. It makes editing the profiles and stuff a little easier.

or www.nhancer.com

Edit: Also, nvtweak has kind of replaced the functionality of coolbits. He added a GUI to it and lets you pick and choose what you want to display.

No problem. Also, if you decide to give nHancer a shot, you'll probably want to try the beta version (1.1.2 beta) since it supports the new 7800 AA modes.

Welcome to the right side of the Force!

Just a lil' FYI, when I use NVTweak, I just hit enable all. If your card supports it, it'll show up, if not, it won't.
