Since it's safe to assume Directx8 vs Directx9 will have no impact on my OpenGL games, is there a website I'm suppose to download the latest OpenGL version? I don't even know what I have now, I'm using WinXP Pro and Driver 41.09

does upgrading the video driver update my OpenGL, or is it a seperate download like Directx from Microsoft?

OpenGL support is included in drivers. The latest OpenGL (1.4-something) is included in the 4x.xx detonators. So there is no separate download required. Such is part of the joy of OpenGL. :D

You could get newer OpenGL versions too if you a developer... but using later versions of OpenGL would be irrelevant. I think the majority of people still hover around OGL 1.2 or maybe 1.3.
