View Full Version : Anyway to get rid of scratches on monitor?
Dam, my cat is fascinated with moving pictures on my monitor and is always up there checking it out.
Well it's happened. I now have some scratches on my monitor. I can't feel them but can sure see them.
Is there anyway to get the scratches off or is it time for a new monitor?
You can try using car wax if thescratches are not too deep. Treat it just like a car body with scratches, but, it may look different where you treat it. It'll look shinier when done. Most monitors have a stipple finish to reduce glare. You may be a "first" if you do it. Most people do a "lapping" job on their HSF's. You'll be the first to do it to your monitor, as far as I know! :p :D
Also put a video camera on to tape your monitor, cause the next time your cat jumps up there, he may do a WORLD"S FUNNIEST ANIMAL VIDEO'S clip, after he goes slip sliding away.
???
my cat attacks my screen like mad, but her claws don't have the strength to scratch the glass on my screen, so you should have some kind of layer on top of the glass. if thats the case, then car wax should work fine :D

some autobody scratch remover might work...
it's like superfine liquid sandpaper, or maybe try some liquid sink cleanser...

This works seems to work best.
Get the automotive polish and spread it all over the screen, then grab cat by the neck and polish the screen with it. Solves both problems. :) <----------------JK
