I'm having an annoying issue. BFV on my laptop reboots the computer randomly. I have an Asus z71v laptop with the 6600 go in it. The latest driver I could find for it is the 73.00. The problem is all of the inf files on laptopvideo2go.com won't let me install the 77.72 drivers. Still says that the video card is not supported by them. I do run the 77.72 on my desktop system and don't have a problem at all with BFV.

The Laptop is an Asus z71v with the 6600 go, a 2ghz Centrino, 1gb of ram and a 100gb hard drive. I'm running WinXP SP2.

Any help would be appreciated, either I'm trying to get the laptopvideo2go inf files to work wrongly, or the z71v has a different Device ID for it's 6600 go, I don't know (it is one of the MXM variety.)

did you download the modded inf from laptopvideo2go.com ? It is a seperate file itself on the site

Yes I did, and I tried all of that. Unless I did that incorrectly, but I don't think I did. I am wondering if the MXM version of the 6600 Go has a different device ID than the normal 6600go. Is there even a normal 6600go?

Do other games reboot?

I think I tracked this problem down to the sound drivers. I upgraded it and now it seems to be a lot more stable. Battlefield Vietnam was the only one that I had problems with so far. Part of it could be a heat problem as well, since it is quite here.
