View Full Version : Screen squashes up at high refresh rates

I have a IIyama Vision Master Pro 454 19"CRT and I was hoping someone may be able to help me with an issue I'm having with it. I have 2 Nvidia 7800gtx graphics cards in SLI attached to it and cannot get the refresh rates how I want them. When I try to set the rate to anything above 120 at 1024x768 the desktop squashes up to about 30-40% of it's previous width. This also happens at 1600x1200@100hz and 1280x1024@120. I have tried the app "Reforce", the Nvidia CP and the monitors section within windows, all the same. If I reduce the refresh rates then the issue disappears, however I want the above rates for gaming, and according to the specifications of both the Monitor and the Graphics cards, it should be fine. I've done a fresh install of XP pro, tried every driver revision from 61.77 to the latest 77.72 and I've got the .icm file loaded from your downloads section. Now I'm stuck. This was also an issue with my previous cards (6800ultra AGP and SLI 6800gt's). Many Thanks in advance for an ideas you may have.

Normally the first time changing refresh rates, you will need to resize the screen size.

Thanks Smokey,

Unfortunately it's not that, the image is so squashed that setting the horizontal axis from the monitors OSD to 100% isn't enough.
