If anything .. lets just make it a test ground for SLI compatability & TP/GCAA :D

Doesn't run on x64. :thumbdwn:

Edit: Bah, its not my type of game anyways. It would make good use of TAA since it uses TONS of alpha textures.

I downloaded it but Im afraid to run it, Its the sequel to Chrome and if you have played it you would know how crappy the gameplay was (graphics were good).

EDIT: So I tried it out... yeah its basically Chrome... First thing I noticed when I booted it up was that at the menu screen I was able to see through the ground... Graphics are generic (2D Sprites for foilage, very noticable ones) and animation just looks weird. Hell the default controls are stupid, My mouse wheel controls the minimap zoom rather then my weapon selection...

Chrome definitely sucked. I thought I'd seen the developer's name somewhere before.

I remember the demo of Chrome being pretty bad, but I actually enjoyed this Specforce demo. It's nothing new or amazing but it's solid shooting action, the guns are satisfying to use and attacking the bases was quite exciting.
This is also one of the few FPS demos in recent years that's actually kept me interested enough to want to play it through to the end :)

I wanted to like the Specforce demo but couldn't, the ghost of Chrome was too present ;)

I miss ready the title as Spellforce and got excited...

Chrome had terrible gameplay but well rounded free roaming maps which I did enjoy...any hints of duke nukem in this game?

I donīt like it when your squadmate dies, the whole mission is failure and the game is over. I especially dislike it when you canīt command your mate to hide somewhere far away. This goes for all games, not just Specforce.

Otherwise itīs pretty good.

Got around to play it & its not bad at all!

also i got around benchmarking the game just for the sake of comparsion between my X800XT(480/500 clocks) rig & the 7800GTX SLI rig & heres what i got :

1280x1024,4xAA,16xAF :
X800XT : avarage = 27fps , minimum = 19fps
7800GTX (single) : av = 34fps , min = 25fps
7800GTX SLI (AFR2) : av = 51fps , min = 42fps

it looks to me that a single 7800GTX isnt much better than an XT in this game (or this engine) esp when we know its an underclocked X800XT.
other interesting fact though is the minimum framerate improvment which is better than the avarage framerate.
in the single card case : 26% av & 30% min
in SLI case : ~80% av & 120% min!

of course though .. for the quality of the graphics both cards should give much better performance , but i think the bad coding is whats getting in the way.

I liked the demo. I wanted to purchase the game. I went to Techland website. I didnt feel right about buying a game out of the country..additional costs really. Anyone have an idea of where or when we can get it here in the Us or do you think buying from techland isn't so bad.

Look pretty good... how come this is the first time I've heard of this game (or am I just out of the loop? :o )..

I tried it a few days ago and was underwhelmed. It looks dated, and doesn't play any better than anything else you've already played.
