I think you mean 7th ;)

But yes he is in a class of his own, and wish him all the best in winning his 7th, not to forget all the hard work that his team does also, all great riders.

I will be trying to watch it every day, as I used to race when I was youger, cycling is still my favorite sport :)

I have been following the tour for several years now. So far it looks like another year of teh "Ice Man." It's amazing the way Lance prepares for the tour and executes with such precision. I am hoping we'll see him break out and have some fun in the mountains being that this is his last year. I am also hoping that George Hincappi gets on the podeum, that would be sweet.

No, he isnt human, because he also has overcome testicular cancer to win 7! (cringes at those 2 medical terms)

Not only testicular, but brain and lung aswell. All at the same time as a matter of fact.

Primarily testicular.

The most brilliant thing was last year after he won no.6 and we had the rally downtown, he pointed to the building where he was diagnosed and they were showing imagery of him creaming the competition for his 6th.

Was priceless :D

I am a bigger Indurain fan but Lance is great

Primarily testicular.

It was all testicular cancer.

But it was testicular cancer that spread to brain and lungs. If he you ever see him with his head shaved on the tour, you can see the HUGE scar and indentation on the left side of his skull from the surgery.

I kinda live here now. They have him on tv all the time :)

His head shaven and the stitches in his head.

Cancer cells had spread to other parts of his body and since I'm not a doctor I assumed it was primarily testicular.

/me shrugs

Congrats to a great champion, don't think his 7 win record will be beaten for a while :)

People said that bout Indurain too :D

But yah, I think its going to be very tough.

Basso is young still and there are a few other guys out there but Lance had dedication and that is the key. I don't know how dedicated some of the other guys are.
